Since The Tyee’s launch in 2003, she has overseen many different aspects of the publication, including general operations, outreach and marketing, reader engagement, advertising, and business and strategic development. The daily challenge of keeping up with the shifting terrain of the online media sphere keeps her from ever getting bored or thinking she’s got it all figured out.

JOHN BUCHER, digital editor of BCBusiness, translates an award-winning business magazine for online publication, and oversees the growth of the BCBusiness Online’s web-specific components, including videos and blogs. On Twitter, he is the voice of @bcbusiness.

In her role as director of digital media for Canada Wide Media Limited, SHANNON EMMERSON is responsible for the digital strategy, development and management of award-winning digital brands including BCBusiness and Granville magazine. She has written and presented on subjects including knowledge management, digital publishing strategy and SEO.
