Canadian Literature welcomes submission of articles, interviews, and other commentaries relating to writers and writing in Canada, and of previously unpublished poems by Canadian writers. The journal does not publish fiction. Canadian Literature was founded in 1959, the first quarterly journal dedicated entirely to discussing Canadian writers and writing.
Canadian Literature's website, canlit.ca, takes advantage of the online medium to complement print. Book reviews are immediately available online, the Online Exclusives section publishes interviews, letters, and articles that are not available in print, and the Resources pages include some of the internet's most extensive lists of Canadian magazines, journals, and publishers.
Canadian Literature gives a voice to everyone who loves Canadian literature.
